    Mini Vacation This Weekend!

I sooooo need a little vacation, so that's what we'll be doing this weekend.  It's actually to celebrate my daughter's birthday, but it's still a getaway for a couple of days.  I'm very ready!

When's the last time you just took off somewhere to get away from the madness of life?

Come to think of it, I haven’t been able to do anything like that since I decided to work from home.  I think that I will have something like this one of this time.

A couple of months ago, my husband took me to the city to a very chi-chi restaurant that has really great food. We had a wonderful cheese and fruit platter (my fave dish of theirs) and then a lovely pasta with mushrooms and grilled veggies. For dessert a chocolate ganache. We listened and danced to the music, soaked in the ambiance, and then went home under a night sky filled with stars. A night like that can be as refreshing as a whole weekend.

Go for it, chocoguy!  That is always a big problem of mine, too... when we work in the outside world, it seems a whole lot easier to "take a couple of days off" than if we have our own business.  :-)  For me, my stopper is usually the fact that if I take a day or two off, there will be double as much work when I get back, but I've tried to overlook that this time.

Oh absolutely it can!  That sounds all kinds of wonderful, mollyL and I'm glad to hear that you had a good time.  Any time a day ends with chocolate of any kind, it's been a successful day to me.  :-)
